HIV Testing, PrEP and HIV Care in San Antonio

HIV Testing, PrEP and HIV Care in San Antonio

From the team at Datri MD, Stone Oak

HIV care belongs in primary care: with a doctor who knows you, has time to answer questions, and treats you without judgment. Dr. Jewel Datri is an HIV Specialist credentialed by the American Academy of HIV Medicine (AAHIVS).

HIV testing

  • Testing is a routine part of adult preventive care. The CDC recommends everyone ages 13–64 get tested at least once, and more often if you're at higher risk.
  • Ask at any visit. It's quick, confidential, and part of your care here.

PrEP: medicine that prevents HIV

  • PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) is highly effective at preventing HIV when taken as prescribed.
  • Options include daily pills and long-acting injections. Dr. Datri will help you choose what fits your life.
  • PrEP requires regular HIV testing and lab checks, which we schedule and track for you.
  • Medications aren't included in membership. We'll help you find the most affordable way to get yours.

Primary care for people living with HIV

  • Today, people living with HIV can expect long, healthy lives with treatment.
  • Dr. Datri provides whole-person primary care: HIV management alongside blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, vaccines, and screenings.
  • Longer visits and direct access mean you can ask questions between appointments.

Privacy

  • We don't bill insurance for your visits, so your care with us doesn't generate insurance claims. Medication filled through insurance will still be billed by the pharmacy.

Here's what people usually ask before they call:

Why $150 a month instead of a copay? You see the same physician every time: Dr. Datri, a board-certified internist. Visits are longer, you can call or text her directly, and in-office ultrasound, ECG, spirometry, and urinalysis are included.

Money is tight. Can I make this work? Many members pair membership with a lower-cost or high-deductible plan, and HSA funds can often pay the fee. Call us and we'll talk through your situation honestly, even if that means telling you it's not the right fit.

Do I still need insurance? Yes. Keep it for hospital stays, specialists, and emergencies. We handle your everyday care.

Can I reach Dr. Datri after hours? Yes. Call or text her directly, and she'll get back to you as soon as she can. For emergencies, call 911.
